I know this has been posted many times over, but with radio's changing all the time and Iam in the market I would like some opinons. Iam looking for a radio to use as base and mobile, AM and SSB for under 300.00. I thought the Omega was the answer but RR has not gave a good review yet.I also was looking at the 2950 or even the Delta.I will be using AM 60% of the time. Any good opinions would appreciated. |

Simpleman Lets go this way if your a ham a 2950 or lincoln followed by the mag 257. If your not they would still be my choices but you can add dx-export radios None of the radios sold by copper is a bad set even the lowest priced ones work well enough for most peoples needs. |

Just my 2 cents I bought a RCI 2950DX from Copper, In the begining of January and use it as my base radio. And WOOW what a nice radio. For under $300 bucks, you can not beat this price. And I know with the quality of RCI I could not go wrong. Also a 10 and a 12 meter rig. I had Copper add 11 meters because that is where my home channel is with the locals up here in NY. Go with 2950DX not the Mirage version because they are , just because it is a little cheaper does not mean better. I use my 2950DX to talk all over the place up here in NY.And I don't even need the amp. So go with the 2950DX and get some sleep. Fox |

2950DX, Lincoln, Magnum 257 or Delta Force Any of these would make a super base/mobile radio! |
