FORUM MEMBER's!

My Computer was infected with the W.32 Dumru.y@mm Virus yesterday.

ANYONE who got an e-mail from me FROM Tech808@copperelectronics.com or Tech808@iglou.com with the words "Important Information for you. Read It Immediately"

DO NOT OPEN THIS MESSAGE or CLICK on the Link attached with it.

My Photo.Jpeg

NOTE
ACTUALLY DO NOT READ ANY E-MAILS FROM ME IN THE LAST 24 HOUR's

This Virus attacked my e-mail list and was sending e-mails every minute or so.

Norton did not block it and when we turned Computer on this morning it said Computer Infected, Virus Detected.

I apologize if this has affected anyone and Norton does have the FIX.

Sad to say I will no longer open or read any e-mail sent to me at Tech808@copperelectronics.com, or my Personal e-mail with any attachment's or more than my name on them.

Again, I Apologize for any problems this may hvae caused you the Forum Member's.

Lon
Tech808

808,
Would it be safe to assume that 307 may have it as well? I have sent him 3 e-mails since Saturday and have not yet heard back from him... Very
unusual.

I have been getting emails from people I don't even know also for the past day or so now. Norton is removing it but I'm still getting emails about once every 4 hours now.

FYI all...the most recent version of the worm I've seen appears as if it is a reply back from a server informing you of an un-deliverable email you have sent to someone. IF YOU GET AN UNDELIVERABLE REPLY EMAIL....DELETE IT TOO!!!!

Most ISP's have a HTML (online tool) to allow you to VIEW you email from anywhere without having to download it to your PC...very useful tool...worth learning how to use it!!! You can delete junk mail and download only the emails you need, and avoid the viruses.

Boxcar,
I'm getting about 100 spam emails a day now......my isp has a spam filter, but still some get through. What a pain it is to have to delete that many emails everyday.

You will not get infected unless you open the attachments--just downloading the email and reading it will not infect your computer.

I have noticed that most that stuff comes at 5 to 6 pm I know cause my messenger mail alert just goes not stop, thank god for a bulf mail folder. I tracked one spammer to the isp found out who he was and subscribed him to every magazine I could find bet in a month he can get his mailbox open! LOL!!
