Exceed the speed limit? LOL! Sorry, I couldn't resist that one!

If you are referring to the "ham" ticket, you can
visit www.arrl.org. You will find all sorts of info on the subject.

Well you need to go to QRZ.com and take the practice tests over end over again. Get a book and study! Get the ticket now and soon we will all have HF, because the FCC is going to drop the code and make all Novice NO code Techs General lisence holders

Maby its best if you dont get a license with your addtude except for 75 meters you would not last 10 min in ham radio.

As mentioned, take the sample test on QRZ over and over and over. Pretty soon you just look at the 4 possible answers and know wih one is right without even looking at the question. And if you really want to know more about what it is your studying, get a book.

BlackBeard:

You will find it easier than you think to pass the testing for the License as the answers are there for you to practice with. This is the year to make the change and jump into being licensed. There are alot of changes coming very quickly. Look at Bruce's other thread concerning the ARRL's petition before the FCC here on the Forum.

I was wondering how long it would take to get a wise answer Rover... LOL.

Thanks everyone. I contacted a local group and I'll be attending a meeting on Friday to get started on my way to get my ticket.

pick up the arrl's "now your talking" books. these are dry as hell to read but have all you need to know to get the basic theory to get a ham ticket,,,,,,for code,,,,there is a bunch of freeware/shareware,,,,,,i bought and use regularly Ham University by mike crick....it is a nice code tutorial with the exam question pool also.....if you have a local ham club,,,they may have some tapes and programs to share if you are a member,,,,,,,,
good luck on your quest for a ticket....
