Hey all, I sell on ,oops I should say I did sell on Ebay, but as I was sitting here tonight, looking at the items that I DID have for sell on ebay, they just everyone of them just up and ended all at the same time!
Well you know what the first thing that popped into my head was, cha! ching! But then suddenly I recieved an e-mail stating that I was in violation of EBAy policy of SHILL BIDDING! But I did not do this! It is either a mistake or someone has gotten into my computer and stolen my ID So now that was alot of money to lose being I had over 40 items listed on there.

But oh well I guess everything has it's good thing's and everything has it's bad thing's

Shill Bidding according to EBAY is "when you or a family member bids on his or her own item to up the price under a (new) ebay user id".
Which is allowed in ebay (2 user names) or more as long as you control them.
As the story goes I had a previous user id that I used until I started a (new drop ship) company that I was selling items on e-bay the previous user id did not go along with what I was selling or how I was selling them so I changed user id's to coeinside with what I was doing.
Some one got ahold of my previous user id info and placed bids on a couple of my auctions, when I saw that this had happened I immediantly placed that user id on NO SELL list that automaticly blocks bids, and won't allow item to be sold to that user id. But I guess this was not enough. The items in question sold to different user id but I am still suscpended from EBAy indefinantly!
And if I go in under a different user id the e-mail stated that I would still be suscpended!

This is what I am accused of( not true!)

I sent an e-mail to safe harbor at e-bay asking why and how I was to be reinstated, and also told them that I was VERY upset with them for doing this (accusing me) of such a thing!
Told them I was NOT going to beg to be reinstated and that if my suspension is indefinant then THEY knew what they could do.(LOL)
But I imagine they get e-mails like that all the time.
So now I am moving to (yahoo) auctions but I have to start all over agian!
Well catch you all later I have to run to Charlotte, NC. tonight, be back tommorow afternoon.

Hey hornet this might help you out,

Q. What is shill bidding?
A. Shill bidding is the deliberate placing of bids to artificially raise the price of an item and is not allowed. To avoid the appearance of being involved this activity, family members and individuals living together, working together or sharing a computer, should not bid on each other's items.
Alot of odd stuff has been happening on ebay lately my password was hacked and a number of things were listed wile i could not access my account. go on to there on line support and talk to there reps they could deff get to the bottom of it.

Did you get a email from "Ebay" telling you that your account would be deleted by Jan 28th if you didnt send in the required info? If so that was NOT from Ebay but a hacker that will use the account info to draw from your bank account or your credit card. I received a couple of those bogus notices and deleted them after i told my boss at work about them since hes a seller on Ebay of music stuff. He told me never to send any info as that email was bogus and the guys were using it to get important info to use against you!!

Ever wonder how they investigate shill bidding, beats me? I know I was bidding on a 2510 and watching another and this morning got the ole removed e-mail for violations. Yet there is another on there now, I think people do that to make theirs sell. E-Bay police!

Well after, about 4 days of being suspended they lifted it!
Now the funny part is the user name I was supposed to have used to "shill bid" was not suspended but my other user name was!
I am 100% sure that this kind of act goes on, but I have not nor will I ever do this.
I don't have to. My items I sell....sell themselves, I make my profit from my shipping cost+5.00 so inturn I make 5.00 on every item I sell.
Unless the people go crazy and just try to outbid each other then I make more.
Most of my items start off at .99, this +$5.00 is all I make most of time.
I am not in it for the money, I am just doing it to have something to do, If i was in it for the money, I had better get out LOL!
Well all I must go have to deliver a load in MorganTown,WV. tommorow then come back and reload to go to Neville Island,PA for Monday.
Catch Me Later.

Well, Radiodude they still have my other user name banned but I have am in under another name which according to ebay rules is completely leagle.
Have you e-mailed safe harbor about this matter?
I did and they sent me an e-mail back to click on a link to go and do 2 specific things to be reinstated, 1 was that I had to fax them my user id and everthing to go with that to be reveryfied, and the other I do not know about I did not go thru the headache. Just as long as they keep the other user name banned I won't have to worry until someone gets my new one LOL!
Good Luck!

Radio/Hornet/others...search around and install a firewall program on your PC if you have not already done so. Your eBay password (and other passwords), login files, etc., can be easily hacked if you have no firewall protection. I use "Zone Alarm" firewall software and it seems to work great. Zone Alarm can even encrypt your eBay password so if it is hacked they can't use it!

Another good piece of s/w is "SpyBot-S&D". This software searches for, repairs, or destroys any files or programs on your PC that have the ability to SPY on your activities and send personal info to someone else, info like websites you visit, credit card info, etc...even your keystrokes (some spy programs record your every keystroke and mouse click and send the data to who-knows-who!).
