For those interested there is a free virus protection program that has been working very well for me called AVG. You can find it at http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php.

AVG - damned good program. Has caught 5 emails in the last week with worms. And it updates automatically too.

I just got it and it said I only have it for 30 days. Is it for a limited time free? I got a key in email and it does not work. Maybe I put the key in the wrong place. Anyway it found 6 on mine.

Kaspersky Virus is considered one of and by some, the best. There are in the range of 100 viruses released a day.
I run this. It updates daily, not once but throughout the day. I have updates for the latest attacks as they come.
Very cool and very safe. The also have a firewall but I don't have that yet.....;)
No need as it is such an aggressive program.

The avg caught a virus in my Restore area, but when I tried to send it to virus prison, the comp would not let me remove it. AVG said it was 38 infected files, I tried to remove them manually, couldnt, what now?? The computer seems to act normal, but cant use the restore, or update at microsoft, didnt notice anything else.
