Here is my question/problem that I am experiencing at this time with a President Washington radio that I recently acquired. When using it on side band, the clarifier has been married to track transmit and receive at the same time. But when I tune in to the person’s voice that I am listening to or receiving then my transmission to them is off by just a little, maybe a cycle or two. Not very much just enough to be annoying. Thus making them adjust to me, then we end up dancing across the frequency. I have looked through all the CB Tune Up Manuals (Masters Editions 1-7) and have not found and listings for the President Washington, using the PLL858 chip. My question is this: Would it be the same
TX Freq. Adjust as stated in manual #1 on page 65 as used in the President Madison 858PLLchip. If not can some one help me as to what the Tx Freq. Adjustment would be in the 858PLL chip in the President Washington?

Ohiobiker,
The UPD858 Washington and Madison are one in the same, the manual for one can be used on the other. 73, Yankee
