Mt. Saint Helens, the radio in the observatory is a President or Uniden Washington, the so called ham radio in the movie Frequency is not a transceiver, it is a Heathkit receiver with some tubes missing, the old yankee told you about those two. Oh! have another the so called police radio in the glove box of the under cover police car in the movie Angle is a CB radio. two more old ones Breaker-Breaker and the movie Citizens Band.

I swear...unless I'm seeing things...If you watch "That 70's show", take a close look at the stuff in the backround when they are in the basement. I seriously think there is an old President base sitting there next to the basement door...

Don't forget "Black Dog" with Patrick Swayze ( I don't know how to spell his name ) and there was an episode of That 70's Show when Kelso had a CB in his van and they used it to meet girls.

"The Shining" w/ Jack Nicolson. His wife is calling for help during the snowstorm, later Jack opens the cover only to pull out the tubes and destroy the set and dash her hopes of calling for help..

What type of mic was she keying up on?

There was a Rockford files where Jim's father (who was a retired truck driver) bought a truck stop and sat there talking to other truckers on a Base station.
Frequency is a great movie though it is a Ham radio in the movie. The writer was a CBer but wrote the movie with a Ham radio in it as he felt this was a better story line.

Pointman,
That episode of "The Rockford Files" was called "Rockies Diner". There was also another episode where CBs were used frequently called "Queen of Peru" involving a motorhome.

Wallmart has "Breaker Breaker" on DVD for only $5.50. Much better than my old original VHS copy(some of the worst acting you can ever hope to see).

Yankee,
If you don't have any luck finding "Citizens Band", let me know. I can copy my old and not very high quality original.
