Has anyone heard of a way to get the 2995dx to go lower than 24000? I heard a guy talking about it tonight. He says it involves going to 24000 setting your spilt to minus key the mic and the radio will buzz then unlock and you can go all the way to 18mhz.
Anyone heard of this??

here is a mod for you. on the cpu board on the front of the radio where you plug in for and unlock the extra channels is two pins beside the plug that are not used. be carefull and connect these two pins together. when you turn the radio on it will cover 21.000 to 29.000---- now if you can you can solder one wire on each of the pins and install a switch so you can go back and forth from normal channels to lower channels. remember to disconnect the power when working on the radio. also remember each time you switch frequencys to cover the above mod, the radio has to be turned off and then back on for it to do the switching. this works great. hope you enjoy.

if you can find a plug that fits the pins with the wires already on the plug all you have to do is connect a switch to the wires, mount the switch and you wont have to worry about messing up anything. thought i would just let you know another way to make it easer for you. have a good day radiodude.
