I'm wondering if the six pin mic converter that copper sells will work for the Astatic 636 4 pin to the magnum omega force 6 pin? Thanks, spydrman |

NO, Not unless your re-wire the C4PRI6 adapter. The wiring for the Omega Force S-45 and the Ranger's are Different so it would be Much easier to just get a Standard 6 Pin Female Mic Plug and wire it for the Omega Force S-45. OMEGA FORCE S-45 Wiring is: PIN #1 ~ MICROPHONE AUDIO PIN #2 ~ RECEIVE PIN #3 ~ TRANSMIT PIN #4 ~ UP/DOWN CHANNEL PIN #5 ~ GROUND PIN #6 ~ 13.8 Volts (MAKE SURE NOTHING CAN COME IN CONTACT WITH THIS PIN) Hope this helps. I thought that there were two 6 pin adapters, one for the Ranger 6 pin, and one for the Magnum 6 pin. I have one that converts from Galaxy 4 pin to my 6 pin Roadpro RPSY485, which, if I'm not mistaken, is the same wiring as posted above. NOTE! Sorry but no there are 5 adapter's and the C4PRI6 is the only 6 pin adapter Lon Tech808 |

I could post a link to it, it is model #C4PDF6, Cobra 4 pin to Delta Force 6 pin, but the site that has it is a competitor of Copper's. I have one of them, it works with "NO PROBLEMS".

Highlander, I apologize as I did not know about the new Adapters for the Magnum. I found it and checked it out and Yes it should work for you with no problems. I will ask the Forummaster to order these so he will have them on hand for the Copper Customer's. Thank You, for bringing this new product to my attention. Lon Tech808 |

ADDITION, The MAGNUM S-3 Has solved that problem as it Comes with a 4 Pin Mic wired the same as the Cobra / Uniden 4 pin radio's. Lon Tech808 |

The adapters I need they don't list in any catalog. I want to keep all of my microphones wired 5 pin Cobra/Uniden and adapt to Cobra/President/uniden 4 pin. Also to Radio Shack 5 pin DIN, Tech808 do you have any sorce for these adapters. Thank you |

Yankee, Sorry but no. As the Cobra/Uniden 4 pin is the most popular most of the adapters go from 4 to 5 pin or 4 to 6 pin. Now that Magnum has come out with the 4 Pin on the Magnum S-3 maybe they will consider useing the 4 pin on all of the New Magnum Radio's in the future. Lon Tech808 |
