I have one of the older versions of the rca recievers, and my service has been shut off for lack of payment several times, but each time it is turned off or turned on I hear a little click inside the box,do you think there is a relay switch in there and do you think it can be defeated if there is,I mean we talk about extra channles and amps on here why not how to get free direct tv?

If it's a older version of the receiver, the relay you are hearing is the receiver trying to "PHONE HOME" to report its status. My old Dish Network receiver does the same thing. It's programmed to phone in at certain times to report and receive updates. As for FREE service, it's not exactly free. You have to buy the card programmer to change the software.
