Ironmask is in the hospital in a coma. His xyl says the doctors are hopeful, but I am sure he, and his family would appreciate all of our prayers for his speedy, and full recovery. This is a guy who has had a lot of hard knocks in life, he sure could use a break! Lon, Dawn tried to e-mail you, but it would not go through.

Steve and Dawn and his family, will be in our thought's Prayer's and we wish Steve a Speedy Recovery.
For those of you who do not know Steve, he is our CEF# EAST COAST NET CONTROL.
HE has been a BIG Help on the Copper Forum with his Experience and Knowledge and with helping me to start the CEF Net's.
His williness has always been to help anyone with anything at any time.

Please make your Post's here for Steve as Dawn and the boy's will not have time for e-mail's I am sure you will all understand.
I Just spoke with his son and the Dr's are hoping he will pull thru this.
His condition has improved a little since Sunday and he is slowly fighting it but he is Still in a Coma.
Steve is a FIGHTER and our thought's and prayer's can only Help Him and give him added strength to recover from this.

Well a friend today just sent me a e-mail today with the message I should smell the flowers and remember the LITTLE THINGS, we so often take daily life for granted. I know I did untill I had my heart attack hard to imagine a 38 yr old in the hosp with a heart attack sure makes a guy wakeup and smell the coffee.
So everyone should give thanks and say a prayer for Iron Mask and his Family.

I giving it full power in prayer for Ironmask. He has always been willing to help me out with various issues, and has been an integral part of getting the CEF Net up and running. We must all give thanks and prayer supporting him.

Hey everyone this is steve's (Ironmask) son, chris. My dad is doing alot better since sunday. Today the 1st of april his temperture went down to normal and his heart rate is down in the 90's. The doctors says "He is not out of the wood's yet but he is getting there." Everyone my family and I really appreciate everything you guys are doing for my dad. All of you don't know how much this means to all of us. Also the doctors told my mom that they only thought he would only live for a 2 days at most but he is still kicking. He has been in there since sunday morning. Yesterday mom went up to see him and he can open his eyes and look around but he has a face that he doesnt know where he is. Also mom grabbed his hand and dad squeezed it and wouldnt let go until a memember of our church came and visited him. and he let go of mom's hand reahced over and shook the memembers hand. right now the doctors turned off the venterlater so instead of the machine making dad breath he is makeing the machine breath. well I have to run. Me (chris) or my mom (dawn) will kept you all in formed. thanks for your time and also all your prayers. |

IRONMASK UPDATE!
I just got off of the phone with Dawn, Steve's / Ironmask's wife.
Dawn, says she feels he is doing better and ask's that we please continue to keep Steve in our Thought's and Prayer's.
Dawn, said they had to insert A trach tube and feeding tube and he does occasionally squeeze her hand. (good sign)
Dawn, also feel's that everyone's Prayer's are a BIG HELP and WORKING!
So let's all continue to HELP and KEEP PRAYING for Steve to have a Speedy Recovery so he can make it back to the Forum and CEF Net's.
Good Luck Steve and KEEP FIGHTING!
We all Miss You and Wish You a SPEEDY RECOVERY!

Steve, I don't know you but you are in my prayers. Glad to here of the good improvement. God hears prayers.
None of us know when today may be our last. It does, as crafter stated, make one wake up and smell the coffee. Life is about serving God, loving family and friends. It is also about making new friends, of whom we cannot make too many.
Count the copper forum members as your friends. We're continuing to pray for you. And, we'll keep the light on for you...

Hi everyone this is Steve's son again (Chris). I just wanted to tell everyone that I have been telling my father what everyone has said on here. Even though he cant talk because of the infection and also the trake. We think he can understand me and my mother when we talk to him. I went and saw him yesterday and dad is moved out of the ICU and moved up to the 6 floor, which is a regualur hospital room. The nerologists (SP) says that he is on the road to recovery. And that is a good sign. I will kept all of you informed if anything changes and it will no worries about that. Thanks for your prayers, Ironmask_son ~Chris |

hey everyone, how is everyone doing today on May 3. And this is Steve's son if anyone doesnt know me by now. I just wanted to let everyone know that dad is doing a lot better and he might be getting out of the hospital in about 1.5- 2 weeks if kepts doing as good
as he has been doing. And after he gets out of there
we are putting him Tioga Nurseing home just for physciall and occupation therpy. And if anyone want to get a hold of my mother or me the hospital number is 1-570-888-6666 and ask for 6 south then ask for dawn harlow. mom is in the room abut 11- 12 then 530-730 do if u need you can call up there if u want to. well i have i run. i hope everyone has a good day and i will kept ya'll posted if anyrthign eles happens. |

Latest update on Steve IRONMASK CEF #100.
I just got off the phone with Chris, Steve's son.
He report's Steve in doing Better and they even brought him home today for a couple of hour's.
He is in a nursing home for rehab.
Chris said he has gained some weight and is talking and walking.
He has some test's tomorrow to see if he can eat.
He is strong and has been thru a lot and our thought's and prayer's are still with him for a Speedy and Full Recovery.

Well I late as usual, but I sure glad to hear my friend is doing better. I have been missing him and even sent him a few emails sometime after he went on a vacation to Florida, but I got no response. A little later I was reminded of his absence again and asked the Forum Master about him and I guess he didn't know anything either.
Steve, my friend, hang in there and with God's speed you will recover to come back on the air and charm us with your wonderful wit.
I pray for you, my friend. Sorry I was so long in finding out about your ordeal.
To his family who helps Steve more than most know, because he is nearly blind and has had other problems with health for some time, God bless you kind folks for taking care of my friend.
I am so sorry to be so late. Tell your daddy of my words and I hope it makes him feel better to know that we all care.

hey everyone, sorry i havent wrote in awhile. i have been real busy dealing with dad and school beacuse school is almost over. anyway back to my dad. the 17 (i think that was the date, i forget like my father) he went back into the hospital beacuse he got pneumonia with 102 temp. they think it is from the stomach tube they put in along time ago. they think he might be aspirating with the food in his stomach and that might be making him sick. he weighs a whole 113 pounds now. and he has his up's and downs like everyone. and also to let everyone know i print out the forum and i read it to him everytime i see if someone wrote anything since the last time i check it. well i have to run to do some school work and i will get back to ya'll later when i hear more news. and if u need to talk to me or my mom you can call our house. thanks alot and thanks for your prayers.
I know for a fact that you guys my dads friends are really helping him out. i know he is glad to have many friends like everyone here. i know he wouldnt say that but i know how he feels most of the time. thanks again, bye. |

Chris, my prayers are with you all. Steve is my kind of guy. I learned about your dad's humble nature by talking and emailing him over the last year or two.
Just remember when you get down about all that has happened to your daddy, we suffer because we are human and not because we have been good or bad. Also remember that the Lord will not heap on us more than we can stand. Be thankful in knowing that your daddy is a great guy and is well liked by all of his buds.
Tell him we are all out here waiting for him to get well and get back on the radio and blast us that that big signal from his I-10K sitten' on a phone pole out back.

I spoke with Chris today (Ironmasks Son)
They hope to have Steve home again soon.
He is still in the Nursing home but is doing better.
He still has feeding tube but is also starting to eat solid foods now.
Chris said he is down to about 120lbs now so he has lost a lot of weight.
Chris says Steve has had a lot of problems but he is walking and talking better now.
We will continue to keep Steve in our Thoughts and Prayers.
GET BETTER STEVE AS WE ALL MISS YOU AND YOUR POSTS!
I will continue to keep everyone updated on Steves progress.

Copper Forum Members,
I deeply regret that I have to make this post.
I spoke with Dawn (Steves Wife) Sunday and Steve is recovering physcially but still has a lot of problems.
She was sorry to inform me that Steve / Ironmask will not be able to return home and will remain in a nursing home.
She said he is happy and healing but that he his memory fades in and out and it appears he will be unable to return to Radio or the Copper Forum.
Steve has been a Great Friend and has always been willing to help anyone with anything when he could.
It was Steve / Ironmask CEF #100 and Alan / Alsworld CEF#101 who donated and helped with so much of their time to help me get the CEF Nets started here on Copper.
Steve will remain in our Thoughts and Prayers and we will continue to wish him the best and pray that he may have a full & speedy recovery.
I have made Steve / Ironmask CEF #100 the 1ST CEF LIFE MEMBER in Honor and Respect for all of his help & time that he has donated to help the Copper Forum Members and to the CEF Members.
