Good evening everyone. Unfortunately, sometimes I get e mails from members here that deal with the wrong kind of subjects. Namely sexual kinda garbage. For those that I deal with on e mail past the forum, DO NOT send ANYTHING to me in that kind of subject matter. Not only do I not appreciate it, I do not like being put into the position of explaining to my wife or kids WHY someone would send this junk to me. It is disappointing to me that someone would do that, but it is gonna have to stop. Otherwise, I will have no other choice but to do what I do not want to do and that is leave the Copper Forum that I dearly enjoy.

Keith,
If I might make a suggestion, you can remove your e-mail address from your profile which might help.
I am not sure with your server but you should be able to block them from ever sending you an e-mail again.
Such as if you receive one place the name of the person sending it to you on your Blocked List.
Just a suggestion.

Good morning Jason. It was not you. But last night I also received a picture and it was so awful. I do not want to block my e mail because there are too many people on this forum that I have met via this forum and we go back and forth on e mail. There are some wonderful people out here who have taken the extra time to guide me on grounding rods for the antenna, etc. etc. etc. I am just asking that noone send me anything of the wrong sort.
In the meantime, keep on rocking Copper Forum. Actually, I wish one of you guys would take a hameer and chisel or drill and put a hole in my head and pour the answers inside and put duct tape on me and then make me go take the test so I can get my license for the ham. I have never been great in math and this continues to be the stumbling block for me. hard to believe someone can run numbers all day long in the food industry and cannot get this stuff!

I get 350-800 e-mails a day sometimes like you said a bit rude. However the best way is to ask the SENDER if they are sending you things to be more discreat. I dont think any member WANTS to ofend anyone. I send out about 1% of the emails i get ....... sometimes just counting on MOST will find it funny or informitive. Just this morning in 4 hours i got 300+ and resent only 1. |

I got that e-mail too, I am sure the sender didnt mean to offend you. I am also sure that when he reads this thread, he will take your feelings into consideration. |

NEVER, and I mean NEVER use your primary isp e-mail address for ANY internet correspondence.. I learned that the hard way several years ago. After dealing with more B.S. spam than I could delete. Even locked up my server. Use an anonymous, (yahoo, hotmail, etc.)..

Keith,
I would suggest contacting the person that sent it to you directly and explain your position. I know myself I get lots of Spam, even with a spam filter. Many e-mails are the same but from "apparently" different people (but the same ISP). The infamous spoofing. I sometimes even get e-mail that appears to come from myself! however the caps are wrong (my e-mail is upper case, what I receive is lower case). I have contacted my provider and they seem useless. That may be the case. Hopefully, the person sending it will understand, or reply that it was not from him/her where you can compare ISP's.
I hope you can get it resolved.

We need to do our part to help get back to a moral society. I would be upset too if someone sent me dirty pictures. Yes, it is a challenge to explain these things to the wife and kids. Especially if such e-mails keep coming. Also, this is a rocking site.

99% are junk today 450 in 12 hours only ONE was a real email IM FOR OUTLAWING SPAM!. By the way BUCK the boots are cool looking ...... he he he.
