I have a chance to by a Yaesu FT-2800 for $100. The radio is less than a year old. Is this a good deal, or should I pass?

Thanks,
Joe

Gijoe,

They are only about $159.00 New and with the Factory Warranty.

For $100.00, If it was me I would pass and get a New One with the Warranty.

If you personally know the person and know he takes Real Good Care of his equipment and he has all of the Factory accessories that came with it then it is a good price, but the warranty is worth the extra to me.

GI Joe,
Nice radio, a third off, not bad, just make sure the battery is good, and check for mods, if it has any ask who did them, and check on the quality of his work! Good deal, nice radio!
Lon has the big bucks so he just buys what he wants new, like daddy warbucks, haha.

Does anyone know the length of the warranty for this radio?

Pig040,
I'm not familiar with this radio. What battery are you talking about?

Thanks,
Joe

Pig040,

In regard to my previous post. The battery you are talking about making sure is good, are you thinking this radio is an ht, or is there some kind of internal battery for the memory?

I'm going to buy a 2m radio. I am looking at the Yaesu FT-2800 or the Icom IC-V8000. Which one would you all recommend?

Thanks,
Joe

The Icom is built better. The Yaesu does more stuff. If long lasting is your desire, find an older radio made by Standard. They were built the best of all.
