OK, supposedly your to mount a GPK as close to the feed point as possible.

The GPK on a Imax 2000 can be mounted at the bottom two holes of the mounting section or 10" above. I understand that after you screw in your coax to the bottom of the antenna, there's actually a 10" coax jumper in the antenna, so wouldnt it be more effective to mount the GPK on the upper section of the metal mounting do-hicky. It would be closer to the actual radiating part of the antenna. Right?

I need to know so this nice plan in my head can be executed perfectly one day..

It makes no difference at all. Mount however convenient.

That settles it then, I'll mount it to the upper section of the chrome mounting hardware of the Imax 2000.
