OK, supposedly your to mount a GPK as close to the feed point as possible. The GPK on a Imax 2000 can be mounted at the bottom two holes of the mounting section or 10" above. I understand that after you screw in your coax to the bottom of the antenna, there's actually a 10" coax jumper in the antenna, so wouldnt it be more effective to mount the GPK on the upper section of the metal mounting do-hicky. It would be closer to the actual radiating part of the antenna. Right? I need to know so this nice plan in my head can be executed perfectly one day.. Rob PLease back up any suggestions where to mount with good reason.. |

Hi Rob, It makes no difference at all. Mount however convenient. |

That settles it then, I'll mount it to the upper section of the chrome mounting hardware of the Imax 2000. Thanks, Rob |
