I'd like to get a single power supply to run a Boomer 400 hd (400 watts) and a cobra 148f gtl dx+ (10 watts dead key)as a base station. I'm not sure how many amps these draw, would like to have one unit rather than two seperate ones, any help would be appreciated. I've been looking at a Pyramid ps52kx rated at 40 amps constant with 50 amps surge. Think this would do? Once again any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Kaveman |

P = I x E. So, 40 amps x 13.6 volts = 544 Watts. I seem to recall some other factor for loss but I don't recall what it is. Sure someone will chime in and let you know. It sounds like your 40 amps should do it. I might even consider a 50 amp just to make sure. Dave 376RI
