Hey Everybody. I have just gotten great news! I am going to get a 68' tall antenna tower from Ca346's neibhor If i get an "A" on my report card in Math, I spoke to CA346's neighbor, and he said I can buy it. Where could a get a light kit for the top, and do I need a license for it? 73's RattlesnakeJake |

That sounds great Rattlesnake! I know you will be very happy with what he gives you. It may require a 'permit' to install the concrete footing for it, but depends where you are. Your Dad will know. No special license if thats what you meant? Now you got to get that "A"! |

Incidentally, let me know ahead of time when you are coming, and I will help you and my neighbor. |

Hey Jake. Good eal on the tower. I can remember the deals i made with the "upper managment"when i was still in high school (not that long ago either LOL) to get radios and stuff. As for the base i didnt need a permit were my folks live i just dug the hole and got me some concrete and went to town!. If you can get ahold of the local concrete comp. and ask them if they have any big jobs going on that week. Im pretty sure they will give you some for free at the end of the day just so they dont have to dump the stuff to clean the barrel out on the truck. I did this and it worked out pretty good. They did it at the end of the day. The driver was pretty cool about it because he didnt want to dump the concrete and clean it all out himself and have to work over on his shift to do it all!! LOL!! Anyhow, good luck and keep your grades up!! |
