(this is on am) He was about 20 miles from me. We talked for 15 min. or so and ask me if i can qsy to 27.385 on (J3E) I had to think for a second or more. I said shur upper or lower? To make a long story short i havent heard (J3E)or(A3E)For a lease 30 years. We had another good qso on 27.385 usb for 20 min. 20 miles mobile to mobile. Being that Oklahoma for the most part is flat, we do mobile to mobile most times up to 40 miles, But it all depends on how good your equipement is and how much power you're running on sideband. ON 19 AM you hear truckers talking up to 30 miles with 200 watts, also a good top end antenna and a tuned coax have a lot to do with how far you can talk. With a mobile installation your antenna and coax are the most important part of the system. |
