I wouldnt normally try to fuse a "Trucker" type antenna with a magnet mount, but any suggestions on which one to get for use with a Wilson 2000 trucker? I was given one, and want to use it on the trunk of my car w/o drilling.

Thanks!

747,

I am pretty sure the Wislon 2000 Trucker is a Standard 24 thread that should fit most Stanard Mag Mounts.

Hope this help's.

My big concern is that with the load being higher than the base, will the extra wind resistance be a big factor??

747,

With the Middle / Top Load I would go with at least a 5 or 6 inch Magnet or a Double or Triple Mag Mount.

Just go Ahaed and get the wilson 5000 mag mount and be done with it. Than you dont have to worry about the mag not being strong enough or not working right with your antenna.

I used a 5 inch magnet on a Wilson 2000-for about 5 miles on the freedway! So from my experience if I was going to use the 2000 on the mag mount, it would be the 3 mag mount. With the Higher load the smaller magnet wont cut it!

i used a 5 inch mag with a wilson 5000 trucker on my 4x4 and it works fine with the 5 inch shaft. with the long shaft youll need the tri mount or it will be falling off alot.
