hey lon i figured this title might catch your eye. i heard someone playing music on 19 this morning, the song was the Ballad of the Green Beret. it brought back old memories as my brother bought that album before he went to nam. given your connection to that era, i wondered if you too had that album....aj

I'm not American (yet) but as an ex Australian Miltary I fnd that that song sends shivers down my spine.

I guess that basically no matter where we are from Vets have a brotherhood.

I do not have the racord but did get the chance to meet Barry when he was doing a USO Tour.

Yes, all Vet's have a bond between us and it makes no difference what country you were born in or served for.

When one is wounded my heart bleed's with them and when one die's part of me die's with them.

I pray nitely for all of them to have a safe return and for the families of those we lose.

I wonder what BOB HOPE (God bless HIM) would have for a line up for talent in the war we have now? He was a guy that cared for the troops and did his best to take you home for a couple of hours or so. And them funny jokes.And good looking girls. Do they have USO tours??? I want to know?
