Does anyone know if I ran some variable potentiometers outside of the radio for my echo controls, which ohm value would I need and how would I solder on the 3 leads? I would like to take off the old ones inside the radio on the echo board and just run wire jumpers to the variable potentiometers outside in the back of the radio. The echo is inside the radio and I can never adjust the echo without taking off the top covers and adjusting them that way. Kind of a pain in the butt sometimes in doing this. Any help would be great!!

the controls that are made into the board should be marked with their value. they will either have a # and the letter k or have 3 digit #.

personsally, without looking at the board, i can't tell you off my head how you would need to wire the new pots in. maybe one of the other techs can.

Cm3885. I think by far this has got to be the best radio I've ever owned. Appearance wise it's a 10, power wise it's a 10. I have had no problems at all since that episode I had when I first got it but fixed that and she's a swingin' radio now!! Thanks tech8541 by the way. I looked and the numbers on the pods and they're both marked 503. Is that a 50k?
