Hi guys. Is it safe to let your coax run across your roof before entering the house? Or should you run it along the ground till it gets to where you will run it into the house? Or, should you run it into the house at the base of the antenna, and then hassle with putting it up against the wall till you get to where you would run it into the room where your radio is? Not everyone can have the antenna mounted right outside of window where their radio is, like me.

Many thanks in advance for input.

Keith there is no problem with running it over the house just make sure to leave enough coax to make a small loop in the coax so the water dont follow the coax into the house !!!

Run it along the roof- even a metal one just dont ty that with open wire feeders. Like Allagator said use a drip loop where it enters the house.

Should pose no problem.

Just a thought from some antenna books I have read...Bill Orr says (about coax),"Use the shortest amount of coax that will connect your antenna to your radio/tuner."

Not knowing about your installation, I would follow that "rule" if possible.

Good luck.
