Hey guys, thought I'd give you a report on the Voyage. As some of you know I bought the VR9000 for communication in the event of an emergency while out hunting etc.... Well, last week I was in a wash in the bottom of a valley at 2700 feet(my favorite hunting spot) and I made a DX call and talked to a guy in Washington State. From southern California thats a good stretch goin barefoot! I was pushin through a Wilson 5000 mag mount. I am very happy with this radio, many thanks go out to 181, and vernonott for they're advice before this purchase. And Vern, I have'nt forgotten the steak dinner, just gotta get my ass onto the outback site for a few minutes, expect it soon.

good thing this is an open forum, so i'll just start at the top of the page. did anybody see the meteor shower this morning? i live in central ohio, and it was pretty foggy this morn, but i went out about 4:30 and stayed till 6:20 and saw 70 some. not as good as i was hoping for after all the hoopla they made out of it, but way more than i'd normally see all year.
