Geekster,

Yes, Tech 833 is still very active when his time allows.

He was in the Forum off and on last week posting and in the COPPER CHAT ROOM and on the Air in the CEF Nets this past Sunday.

He is also the CEFAM West Coast Net Control as well as the West-Coast CEF Ham Net Control.

As all of the copper Techs and Moderators have full time jobs and donate time to the forum, the times they can check in is sometimes very limited.

And with us all living in different states and different time zones from where Copper Electronics is located in KY, makes it kind of tough at times.

I am sure he will see this post soon.

Lon

Ok thanks,

Curious because I wanted to post the IMAX 2000 article on my website. I sent him a PM but wanted to make sure.

Yep I understand I work full time and have 5 kids... :-)

Ok to post a link or have the articles in pdf format. I noticed the website (not copper) you had the article but was unavailable.

The article is only available here. It is no longer on that website. Copper owns the article, and people were linking to that website instead of Copper. So I emailed the webmaster and nuked it.

My nuke license? That is rich!! I still have my ghetto pass though. I can slip in and out of the ghetto unharmed as long as I have that.

Mrs. 833 and I drove through S. Central L.A. a couple years ago with the RDF gear in the truck. Mrs. 833 insisted I stop at a convenience store for some directions. It was uncomfortable to say the least... About 20 people glaring at me and only 10 rounds in the Glock.

I figure that 9 rounds of 230gr Hollowpopint 45ACP, and the battle ought to be over. ;?)

I bought a couple of 17 round mags for my G19. They were not very good though. The cheap material spread apart at the top so the gun would jam every shot. Glocks are known for the unjammable mechanisms too. I only use real Glock mags now.

However, I live in the people's republic of Kalifornia, and pre-ban hi-cap mags are not allowed to be shipped here. My hi-cap mags are shot, and now that the cap-ban is in place, I cannot buy more.

I did not grab an extra mag to get out of the truck and ask for directions to the freeway. However, I do remember the clerk telling me which way to go, and telling me to 'hurry'.

Tech833 I believe you can still order replacement block bodies for your mags (full cap) but they are getting very hard to find. I too live in Kalifornia and own a Glock 35 (can use G22 full caps but can't get them). What area do you live in if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking to get back into radios after a couple years off. I have a Lincoln that is going to be shipped off for an alignment and a few other mods.
