Looking at the Rohn site, from what I can see they say 4' deep and 2.5' diameter. This was for normal soil conditions. That sounds smaller than I though I remembered from other readings though. |

Go to Champion Radio on the web. They have a great list of the spec's for various tower heights. Most are 3x3x3 with rebar every 1ft. Some are much deeper. I have a 4x4x4 concrete foundation (overkill) for my 50ft Rohn tower. |

Yes, Amen! Don't get a permit and one neighbor finds out, and he has you by the britches, no matter what FCC rules say. The guy in my church who installed my base antenna for free, is the County Inspector. |

crackerjack, sure, the mast sticks up about 1 foot past the boom and the a99 is mounted to it with just inches between the top of the boom and the feedpoint of the a99. oh and the beam is mounted horizontal...aj |

Applejack: Thanks, I am thinking that even a 102" mounted that way would be useful for listening. Or even an inverted V from the mast. My geographical location, gives me 3 basic directions to point a 4 element beam, I could fine tune from there once contacts are made. I am getting serious about this now.
