Forum Members,
I as well as other Copper Moderators have had to refuse around 15 to 18 posts this past week from Forum Members and Non Forum Members trying to make posts listing items for sale or with links to competitors sites.
The Copper Forum Rules are listed to the Left of the Forum Here under Forum Membership for everyone to read and follow.
If you might have a problem with the Link I am posting them below for the New Forum Members and as a reminder to the older Forum Members.

Copper Forum Rules

Please read this entire page before posting messages in our forum. If you don't, you may find that you inadvertently break our rules and have your messages refused or edited. Save yourself some time and learn the rules!
Advertising
You will not advertise or solicit other members to buy, sell or peruse any products or services through this discussion forum.
You may not post links to direct competitors of Copper Electronics.
Personal Attacks, Flaming, Bashing, and Trolling
You will not post material that is knowingly defamatory, illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, or racially offensive.
You will not persistently create conflict without contributing anything useful(trolling).
You will not violate a person's privacy by publishing against someone's will information that is private and personal.
Unregistered Visitors
Unregistered users may post in the areas that don't require registration using any name you like as long as that name is not used by a registered user. If you are caught impersonating another user you will be banned.
Obscene Material
You will not post material that is sexually or otherwise obscene and has no educational purpose or any significant relevance to an ongoing and legitimate discussion.
Copyrighted Material
You will not post, distribute or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior written consent of the owner of such proprietary rights. Exceptions to this standard are covered by the Federal law regarding fair use, 17 USCS 107, and related case law, which holds that only partial excerpts of copyrighted material may be reproduced, and only as necessary for criticism or comment.
Private Property and Administrator Rights
You agree that if any of these rules are abused, the offending message may be refused or removed without prior notice, and if you repeatedly violate any of these rules or otherwise seek to disrupt the board then the administrators can ban you from the forum at their discretion.
You agree that this is private property and you are our guest, and that we (Copper Electronics, Inc.) reserve the right to refuse, delete or edit any message.

In the Last 24 Hours since I made the above post we have had to Refuse 6 Posts that contained Links to Competitors web sites and some that mentioned Items for sale.
I am sorry but the Copper Techs and Moderators DO NOT have the time to go thru and Edit these types of posts so they will be Refused.
PLEASE READ THE RULES AND FOLLOW THEM.

As long as I have been posting here (not as long as some); I still forget those rules. But when posting a reference to another site, I usually figure that if it's not allowed, it won't be posted. I understand business is business, but like the old Christmas story where the REAL Santa Claus tells the kid on his lap to go to another store, if COPPER doesn't carry the product it makes a BIG impact to send them somewhere to find it.
I enjoy this COPPER FORUM and appreciate the editing you do. I have two Grand-daughters who are on my radio sometimes, and also... since I'm on COPPER FORUM alot, they read some of these postings. I never have to worry about content!So thank you for editing or not posting some of my borderline comments!

Yea, it would be nice to have instant post -but there is a certain benefit to not having a bunch of SPAM and foul trash like the other forums. |
