Thanks to all of you that helped me out with my post the other day, it realy did help. It also helps to see that my yeasu seems to be very popular and well liked! I would like to announce that I made my first contact EVER on ham today using the IU repeater in bloomington indiana and had a very interesting conversation with 3 or 4 gentlemen about basically nothing (as it should be :-) ) Got nothing but good reports, a few suggestions from them and As far as the kliques are concerned I havn't found one yet I have allready been invitet to the weekly get toguether on that frequency and they have a monthly get toguether in person that I'm also invited to. The gentlemen I talked to today all are heavily involved in emergance/disaster response and I have also been invited to see how all that works. A mind numbing experiance to say the least! Alot different from CB!
Thanks

I love to hear those kinds of stories bc910! It definitley is a different world in Ham radio. It's good to hear there are those out there who will take the time and bring you into their group.
