I just purchased some of this coax (Cable Xperts CXP1318FX) for mounting a Wilson 2000 on my truck. Does anyone use this coax and have any feed back on it? I hope to be up and running by 2pm PDT tomorrow. I still have a bit to do but hopefully some of you guys will still be on the air.

I have the RG8/U-Foam PE from that company. Two 125ft lines to my 4 el quad.

I also have that same cable (CXP1318FX) running to the 10 el 2M/70cm. Had no problems, but I am unable to compute my actual loss w/o an analyzer. Putting out plenty of power at the radio! I don't know about up at the antenna? That cable is double shielded and direct burial coax. Should be okay. Probably would have been better to run the RG-213, but if your runs are not too long, it doesn't matter.

I read some specs from the company website... says it used to be listed as 9913 coax which I have read was the top of the line stuff. 0.8 db loss per 100 feet at 30 mhz. I guess at 10mhz the loss is way less. The chart on the site shows it better than RG8 and other types. I finally got my antenna installed after welding up a new mount after finding the mount I made yesterday didn't fit. I'll have to hook up my radio tomorrow after work and dial everything in. I'll be sure to be on for next weeks net.

I'll second Jims findings. I have about 150' of 1318 running to a 2m/440 beam. No problems. Good coax. I've just surface buried it also, just under the sod. No problems in 3 years.--Kirk
