I noticed a "Spell Checker" in my profile options. U also noticed that it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? |

It does "work" but not very well. If you have the spell checker box checked on your profile it will check all the words in your post against a list of words in its database. If it finds words that aren't in its database it will highlight them in yellow when you select the "Preview/Post Message" button. The problem is there aren't many words in the database so it finds a lot of supposedly misspelled words. I have been looking for a better database of words but haven't found anything better yet. |

I have also noticed that the word "all" shows up as miss-spelled. All? All? it sure isn't a very big database BC |

Amazing as it might seem there are 234937 words in the database. It even includes the word "Zyzzogeton". |

Zyzzogeton Holy crud! It sure does, but not all. I have never met a person that uses the word Zyzzogeton and not the word all. Who put toguether the database? I would like to talk to him and see how he gets arround with not using that word, also I would like to know how often he uses the word zyzzogeton! BTW isn't there any way to adapt a larger database like, say the MS word database etc.? BC |
