Sorry let me re-state that for two reasons 1: It was rude! 2: I meant to say "but trust me DON'T CLIP!" So here goes: When you clip the audio limiter in any radio all it does is make over-modulation and adjacent channel splatter! Both of which are very bad things, you want to be loud right? If you want loud and proud, not obnoxious and rude then get yourself a digital signal processor for your radio. This mod will make you so loud people will have to turn down their radios! On the other hand you will be crystal clear and "BOOMIN'" I'm not sure if copper sells them or not, I haven't seen them, but what does that mean there is a lot of things here I'm sure I haven't seen yet. The other thing you can do is CHANGE the limiter I know people do it and it seems to work well, but I never have so I don't know. One more thing, I looked around on the internet and couldn't find any mods on the 78, too bad you don't have the 76 (I think it may be the same except the back light but I'm not sure). Good luck BC

For that radio...you'll want to turn up the modulation pot VR4 (I think) and then if you still want more modulation you can try the super mod modification.
