Rose and Hal and I agreed that you could not come unless you bring a Note from Margie saying you can come out and play with the Big Kids.

WOW,
Looks like we are going to have a larger turnout the the Iowa I-80 CEF Gathering.
We have 3 and maybe 5 going to take HAM TESTS at the SUPERFEST and CEF Members coming from, MO, IN, IA, IL so far.
And with about 18 of the CEF Members here in the Bloomington / Normal Area it will be a GREAT TIME!
DON't FORGET TO BRING YOUR LAWNCHAIRS!!!!!!!!!!

What a great weekend !
We got back home about 4:00 tonight and I immediately started the install on the FT 2800M.
I got my dc cable routed thru the firewall and up to the battery, but I lost the stupid rubber grommet for my firewall. I'll have to stop by Toyota and " borrow " one. Tomorrow I just have to mount my antenna and radio, hook everything together and I'll be set.
It was nice to finally meet Lon, Shirley, Moonshadow, CM3885, Rosebud, and Hal.
Lon, thanks for everything. I'll have that review up shortly. |

Below you will find Pictures of the PEORIA, IL SUPERFEST (Ham Fest} that the 1st Sargant and I, and Lowpowerhal & Rosebud and Cbblackbeard and Diana Attended on Sept 18 & 19th 2004.
You will see pictures of the Copper Table and the Copper Electronics CEF Banner we had on display.
It was a GREAT WEEKEND and with the Wind from the river you did not Notice the Heat and SUN.
We had a good turn out of Vendors and People at the Superfest but they just were not buying much.
The best deals I found was a trade I made for a Like new AR-3500 for one of my Yaesu FT-50R radios and I saved well over $125.00 on Strobe lights for our truck for plowing Snow this winter.

The Forummaster told us to Look OUR VERY BEST for the People so we SPRUCED UP and dug out OUR VERY FINEST CLOTHES to wear.

We ALL had a GREAT TIME and it was a Pleasure to meet Cbblackbeard CEF # 275 and his girlfriend Diana FROM: CHICAGO, IL.
And having our good friend's, Lowpowerhal CEF #136 and Rosebud CEF # 222 FROM: IOWA, show up again.
Hal and Rose have been able to make it to BOTH CEF Gatherings so far this year and we Always have FUN.
We thank all of you for showing up and allowing us to have a GREAT WEEKEND.

I'll bet not Everyone has a 2' x 40' Mobile Antenna with transformer attached!
That is the  SHINNTENNA MOBILE ANTENNA.
Wait until you see the Base version of this Antenna and it is only $9,999.00 for shipping by UPS.

OOPS, we were having so much fun I forgot to have someone take our Pictures with the Truck. 
Getting a Bunch of CEF Members together can make a person forget a Lot of things.
Like the Radials I have to send to Hal for his New 6/2 Meter Antenna.
And THEN forgetting to hook the SWR/Watt Meter we used Sunday Morning to check CM's SWR on his mobile back up and then last night talking for several hours with the local CEF Members on a 6' Jumper.
Oh Well, it was a LOT of FUN and Everything is still working at 100%.

Bruce I have been collecting radio gear for almost 40 years, Thats all i could pack in the car. And Sold just about all of it. But I came home with all new equipment from COPPER.
I will be ready to go for next Sundays net.
