Racer x tnx for your input.You are right the crystal should be 10.240 i was looking at the wrong one i guess i need new glasses.Any way i did change the 10.240 on my cobra 146 with a lower one and put it on a switch to give me 1 to 40 and 40 channels below 1.this mod works just fine and it should work fine on the trc 451
