Thank you Lon I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the forum. I hope the review will motivate some who have been reluctant to take the step into the world of HF Ham radio to go ahead and take the leap. Learning code with Code Quick can easily be done in under 30 days. Bob CEF362 KG6POG

AJ going to the computer to work on Code Quick was a real problem for me at first too. I hated forcing myself to go over to put the time in to the program. But after a few days I started to catch onto the rhythm, and learning code became easier and easier as time went by. Eventually it was kind of fun. I eventually enjoyed the challenge of the practice tests to see how fast I could copy. In reality the actual test isn't that bad, it's much slower than what you will get used to with Code Quick so you will have plenty of time to go over each character as you copy the exam. But you have to get passed that block at the beginning and catch onto the rhythm. Then you’ll have it made. If you really want to pass the code test you might have to force yourself to get past the first week or so, but I know you can do it. It does take time and serious dedication to get it done in 12 to 30 days. But it can be done, and I honestly believe virtually anyone can get it done in the 90 days that Code Quick guarantees. I know the code is keeping huge numbers of people out of HF radio, and hopefully they will do the restructuring before too long, and you'll be grand fathered in as a general. But ARRL is saying that it could be two or more years before that takes place, so it's up to you. Best of luck Bob

I just started using the Code quick 2000. I was previously using the g4fon program which is great BTW, However I grew quite bored with it. I passed my general written but worked with the g4fon for about 35 days and did not pass the code portion. I picked up the Code quick about 2 weeks ago. The code quick makes it fun and very easy to learn. Within about a week those pictures and voice overs just stick in your head. I am going to go ahead and take the morse code test once again this Saturday. I will let you know how it turns out. So far I avg about 45-80 characters solid copy. I highly recommend this program!!! |
