Hi Gang,
First off let me introduce myself, Real name is George, nickname is NUTNDUN, I have never been really serious into radios but I am starting to get into it more and more. WHat I have a question about is this, I am trying to find info about an old linear I had lying around, I had gotten probably at least 5 years ago when I was running my 44. What I basically want to find out is if it is worth it just keeping it and running it since it is already paid for or if I should just pitch it and buy the xforce I would like to get.

Here is a description of it. It is about 4-5 inches wide, 3-4 inches tall, and about 10 inches long, black bottom/side cover and the top is aluminum with 1 inch tall fins, it says galaxy 400 on the front along with squelch buster. There are 4 switches(one for ssb, one for hi/lo, one for REC, and one for on/off). There are also three led lights( one for TX, one for PWR, and one for REC). I took the cover off and I don't really know what the different parts are called but I will give it a try.

4 pills with the numbers:
SD1446
181E 9847

there are two long and two short pairs of black tubes with a red wire that is wrapped through the center of them a couple of times, the long ones are probably about an 1 1/2" long and the short ones are probably 3/4" long.

the board is like a yellowish white tinted plastic or resin with with copper layed onto it and there is 10ga wire that runs into it for power.

Like I said, what I would like to find out is if it would even be worth hooking it back up and using it then spending money on another amp for now, and if I were to use it what kind of power could I expect out of it? Any other info anyone can provide me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
NUTNDUN
