I see that Magnum has a couple of power cords that replace your mobile power cords to reduce interference from motors, alternators, windsheild wipers....will one of these work on a President Lincoln?

YES, just clip the end / power plug off going to the radio on the Magnum Filter Cord and then cut & splice the end off of the Lincoln power cord on it. 
You can get the PLF-10C or PLF-10M either one will work.

I was kind of thinking like that. I use a cigerette lighter connection. Will this noise reducer work on this setup?

The Power Cord filters are 10 Gauge wire and not good or designed to be used use with a cigarette lighter plug connector.
Also the Cigarette Lighter Plug can be the cause of 90% of your noise problems as you are using the dash wiring and the complete wiring for the car.
The Power cords should have long enough leads to go direct to your battery for power if not splice more 10 gauge wire onto it to go Direct to the battery.

If you are a hop out of the truck and forget to turn the radio off guy (like I am)you can wire a relay in line and have the ACC lead turn the relay on. You still have a direct connection to the battery and some peace of mind at 12AM laying in bed thinking "did I turn that radio off?" |

my previous dx truck had so many batteries, i could leave the amp on, radio keyed, stereo blasting, headlights on, winch turning, and 12v compressors running, go away for the weekend, come back & still start the truck on the 1st crank in 0 degree temps!

Keeeryekeeee, Would hate to get into a head on collision with that! Is it like the Hindenburg in there with all the hydrogen, was the truck a little lighter when they were charging  |

I make my own filtered power leads by taking a standard lead and a toroid core.
Draw a line across the core that divides it into half. Now starting as close to the plug as possible and laying the first turn on the line you drew, wound the lead around the core in a clockwise direction. When you get to the line on the otherside of the core go into the center hole and under the opposite side of the core. Now wind that half of the core going in an anti-clockwise direction. Tape or cable tie the start and end of the coil to hold them in place.
Over 30 years this filter has worked on 99% of power lead induce interference that I have come across - ranging from 160m thru to 900Mhz or so. |

Help.. I have a major interference when I have the Laptop on (USing 400 Watt Cobra Inverter)as well as 1750 W powering Microwave,Toaster, and coffee maker.
This stuff when on wipes out reciveing of a signal...I have the magnum filter as well..

In our Pete and KW we found that by running 8 gauge wire direct from the batteries to the inverter it solved our interference problems.
We also ran the our 2970DX, & FT2800 and Amps direct to the batteries also using 8 & 10 gauge wire and grounded everything direct to the frame.
We could run the radios, tv, vcr, extra fridge, electric blankets, laptop, and printer with out any problems all at the same time.
We never used any of the factory installed 12 volt outlets for anything in the Pete or KW.

I have a major heavy electrical wire. Under water cable. Use to power my Inverter. It's wired direct. My radio however is wire direct to the fuse box. I have a FLD 120. My problem is I can't crawl under truck to do any wiring to battery etc. I'm a bit big in the middle. My bellie get stuff in the differencials. Need a tow truck to it up so I can get under it.
I guess I'll live with it. Just won't have radio on when I'm cooking or have laptop on.
