I have a couple of questions on the galaxy 95. To adjust the echo you have to open the radio inside? Where is the button to adjust the echo? when this radio is properly peaked and tuned how much power you can get (swing etc..) out? When you get this radio brand new what is the power you get (how many watts)? thank you for your anwers and comments.

uuuuuhhh *sigh*
Galaxy, what can I say
well yes you have to open the radio to adjust echo
no buttons, jut two vr's 1 for delay and 1 for amount
the power is high proably 150 watts or so
but heres the deal:
galaxy 95t = performance and functionality at a 7 (1-10 scale) $399.99
Magnum S9 = performance and functionality at a 10 (1-10 scale) $319.99 + kl-300p 300 watt amp $79.99 = $399.98

Conclusion:
Option number 2 = better radio, more power, less money
Option number 1 = less power, not as good a radio, more money

Well there ya go!
Just my opinion but any way heres some more to contimplate

There must be a lot of people debating these two radios in their minds. All I can say is, if the S-9 is truly a better sounding radio it sure has to have some magic to it because the 95T is loud, loud, loud, and clean and I know of no base station that I've heard that can out do it. I've got my sights, however, on that S-9. I'm doing my homework.

I here all this talk about the new S-9. Does antone here own a Connex 4800DXL? Sure I know that Magnums are excellent but in my opinion I think my Connex is every bit as good. I always get to talk to who I want and the truck drivers around here dont understand why my radio talks 15 miles down the road. Feels good to be a big dog now and then.

I hate how you have to give up a dual function knob for echoe control. Now if somebody knows how to intall a whole new knob all together, maybe in the back but I doubt it. Who wants there radio all chopped up? Since I'm talking about echo.........Does anybody go through what I do everyday? The town idiot! Nothing but echo and roger beeps! I dont reply to this guy at all, and keeps on going with that damn beeping even if theres nobody on the air. Its like he cant get over the sound of a beep.Beeps as fast as he can over and over and over. I wish his radio would konk out someday!!!!!!!! simpathy please somebody!!!!!!!!!!

bc, you always forget a very important part of the S9-RECEIVE-RECEIVE-RECEIVE-RECEIVE-RECEIVE.
which is also a very important part of any galaxy. the difference is, galaxy forgot to make theirs good like the S9.
really wanted to keep a 148fgtldx/4800dxl. they sound fine, but something just isn't there with their audio. same problem with rci6900ftb. my solution was
S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9S9
and a davemade m400.

So I guess my best bet would be a magnum s-9 with a decent mobile amp. right now i have a galaxy 44 in my 18 wheeler (no amp) and i can easily talk 9-12 miles during the day but the radio does not have side bands I want a radio with sideband. I have no problems with te galaxy44 great sounding radio but i want upper/lower sidebands to make some dx contacts what do you guys think?

if you're gonna use mostly SSB, dxuall, the S9 works great with texas star dx500HDV, or any custom 4x2sc2879 amp. smaller amps are tough to get to sound good without overdriving. dx500hdv will work good on AM, too.
where'd that 95t thread go???

If you are looking for just a radio and dont want to run more wires for an amp, then the 95T is the way to go ,For the first month I had mine I ran It off the cig.lighter plug untill I put it on the acces. relay , I dont think there is radio out there that cant match the 95T barefoot , as for the echo controls , set it and forget it .there is an on and off switch if you dont want want it.
