Anyone have this Mic hooked up to thier 706.I need the Color Wire to 8 pin connector.I want to put it on my 706 Thanks Jimmy

I tried everything even E-Mail Heil gave me the wrong Wire info to 8 Pin

Also i when i bought this mic it was used and someone cut of the 8 Pin connector it came with

Heil didn't know the wiring for their own product? That's pretty bad.

There should only be 3 or 4 wires for this microphone because there's only the microphone element and the PTT switch. It's powered on the mic lead like any other electret and fortunately that's the way that Icom powers their mics from their radios. With a multimeter it should be fairly easy to figure out which wire or wires are the ground and which is the PTT. The only other is the mic lead itself which carries both the power from the radio to the mic element, and the audio from the mic element to the radio.
