What is the max watts you can swing into a klv 1000 high drive. I have a rci-2990 that does 200 watts pep. Is that alright to swing in it?

the klv1000 is rated 1-10watts am,2-20watts pep ssb input.
the klv1000p(high-drive version) is rated 60 watts am,120watts pep ssb input.

Yogi,

The S-9 does not have the power to work well / drive the KL-1000P for maximum performance.

You would be underdriving it and would not be happy with the performance.

The Texas Star 500 would be a much better amp to use with the S-9 with excellent performance.
