Bruce/Anyone

I need a mic plug for my Yaesu, any ideas where I can get one? It's not as easy to get one as I thought it would be. I thought Ebay would have them, but so far no luck. Thanks for any input.

BTW - I looked and didn't find one in Copper's either. Did I miss it???

That national electronics store everyone loves to hate has 8 pin Foster connectors. Of course they're not cheap, but nothing there is.

The Radio Shacks around here don't. If it's radio related, they won't have it.

It is an 8 pin. I work at Radio Shack, and our store doesn't have them. But I have a few leads, looks like I may have 1 or 2 coming. That should be more then enough. Thanks for the replies guys, I knew I would find one if I asked! *G*

Yes, yes it is. I may need it, and then what?! Anyways, I am looking forward to getting back on the airways. Spring is coming, and I will ready to go when it shows up!

I can't believe that they don't carry them. I just bought one a few months ago because I ran out of stock and needed one fast, so I know they have them at my closest store. They're not cheap at $4 a piece, but at least they're handy.

I just checked online and it says that all 8 stores within 15 miles of me has them in stock. It's probably a stocked item if they are all over the place here.

I also checked your zip code and it shows that ROCKLAND-HARBOR PLAZA 01-1502 has them in stock. Maybe they're not hanging on the right hook?

Well, it may be just that. I looked yesterday at work, but we are about to redo the store. So they may be there, just not where they should be. The computer said we had some, but we couldn't find them. Needless to say, when the redo is done, I will have may boxes to go through. I bet I find them then, I love my JOB!

Well now, I went to work today. I asked Gary, the manager why I couldn't find the mic plugs. We searched the parts drawers, and yes indeed, we had some. 4 plugs, just sitting there. They were not where they should be, and not labeled. I have since fixed that thank you! So now we have them ready for anyone who may need them.......ok so I will more then likely buy them, but is that so bad! *G*

LOL - Good deal Sodapop. Even with 20% off they are still pretty expensive though.

The last time I bought some Foster connectors at a hamfest I think I paid only $1 each for a quantity of 10 and they let me mix different pin counts. I should have bought more 8 pin connectors though.
