Use of these radios with Low Drive Tube Amplifiers is NOT Recomended!

Do so at your Own risk of damage to your amplifier and / or your radio and amplifier.

When you are dead keying 1 watt and swinging 30 + watts into a Low Drive Amplifier this is way to much and you will cut the life of your tubes in half or blow the tubes and/or the amplifier fuses which can result in damage of your Amplifier and or Amplifier and Radio.

The Tubes on a Low drive amplifier are not designed to take 30+ watts of modulation swinging into it.

And this appears to be happening quite frequently lately.

Copper Electronics will no longer cover amplifier repairs or replacement of amps under warranty when damaged by improperly using these radios with any amplifier or tube amplifier sold by Copper Electronics.

USE WITH AN AMPLIFIER

The Magnum S-3, S-6, S-9 and Omega Force S-45 are designed to work with a 4 pill Amplifier like the Texas Star 500 or Similar Amplifier that uses 4 - 2SC2879's.

"DO NOT ATTEMPT" to run the Magnum S-3, S-6, S-9 or the Omega Force S-45 with any 2 PILL Amplifier!

Also if you use the Magnum S-3, S-6, S-9 or Magnum Omega Force S-45 with an Amplifier that uses an Exciter/Driver you MUST have the radio adjusted for a Dead Key of 4 Watts and NO More than 12 watts PEP when using the Top Gun Modulator.

It is Highly Suggested that you have a professional do this.

You will also Notice that in none of the Reviews posted on the Copper Forum or Information supplied by Copper Electronics or Magnum International is the use of the S_3, S-6, S-9 or Omega Force S-45 recommended with ANY TUBE AMPLIFIER.
