Came back from the local cb shop and the owner told me that he cannot get anymore Imax's from Solarcon. He stated that the military is taking all of them that are produced for use over seas and that the general public can no longer get their hands on them fresh from the factory. This sounds like the grand daddy of all rumors but I just had to post and see if anybody else has heard such a thing.

Hotwire,

This is a RUMOR that has been floating around for quite some time now.

Actually if the guy said that I don't think I would go back or trust him when he appears to be unable to pick a phone up and call Solorcon order them or the distributor that he buys them from.

Maybe he lost Solorcons phone number.

Don't you think it is strange the Copper can get them but your local dealer cannot?

Solorcon has had problems meeting the demand for them and not kept up with production to meet the order demand's.

Or maybe your Local Dealer just does not like paying the HIGH Shipping cost on them that he would have to add to them when selling them over the counter.

PS:
That is why we personally pick them up at Copper when we visit. The shipping charges on over sized items can KILL YOU!

AND JUST THINK ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL COPPER AND PLACE YOUR ORDER FOR ONE.

I thought it sounded a bit strange and I even questioned him about it. I cant understand why he would out right lie to me after all the money I have spent there. Oh well.

Hey Bc I checked out that digital scanner. Very nice looking.
