I have 2 2950dxs one a month old and 3 years old they were doing 20 watts on ssb and am but now will only will do 10 on ssb 5 am 1.1 swr

Gotta be either the meter or the antenna
One more reason you should always check power into a dummy load, not an antenna

one in a mobile one as a base they were check with a dummy load and different meters

hummmmm????? did you try another radio like a stock cb set which should show about 4 watts ????

It could be your Dummy Load is shorted or bad.

What kind are you using a Dry or Wet/Oil Dummy Load?

I HAVE USED DIFFERENT RADIOS THEY CHECK OK A friend has a new 2950dx 2 months old doing the same thing. used different meters and dummy loads I have emailed rangers tech
