Bummer I was going to ask if anyone heard of this one certain guy on 37 LSB. He lives around the upper east coast I believe in Conneticut. Anyway who made this guy the authority on radio performance. Tells everyone their radios sound like bunk! He is so persistant at doing this and is very rude to everyone but his buddys. A spoiled brat. I think he got mad because I was stepping on his locals and he started in on me saying he owned 37 and nobody is allowed on it but him and his clique. Amusing he sounds like Butthead from Beavis and Butthead but no reason to be rude and so hateful and cussing on the band. My girl was in the car when the bad words started and it makes my hobby sound so much less than positive. Just had to vent a bit. 73s gentlemen

I was a SEAL, and I read the book "Dirty Tricks". Never think "Pay Back" -think "Get Ahead".

I once knew a real butthead (in the 70's)-we had a friend insert 28 gague hypodermic needles into his coax. On a monthly basis, if he replaced the coax.

Later that year, my friend bought his antenna, tower, and radio/amp from him.

BTW, I run my coax inside a pipe, and I carry a pistol.

Yeah I know. Lots of people gotten in trouble over the years for stupid ****. Nobody I know ever went to jail but have seen antennas come down and coax get cut. Had happen once to afriend back when I was a kid, needle through the coax and cut off each end of the needle. Took forever before he realized. Good ideal about coax in a pipe. May try that someday. Its crazy out there, Anymore who dont have a gun? When I was younger and stupider I always carried a piece no matter where I was or what I was doing. Nowadays I avoid confrontation and steer clear of being at the wrong place at the wrong time. I dont want to end up in prison or dead myself so I'm a good boy now. I'm smart enough to know that I'm too hot tempered for the resposibilty.

About a year and a half ago I was subpoenaed (along with several cops, a telephone repairman, and a lineman from the local electric company) as a witness to the stupidity of ***OUR*** local radio idiot.
Idiot would carry on for days at a time (literally) on both the CB band and the two-meter band output side of the repeater the locals use.
He never figured out the input frequency of the two-meter machine we used, and would try to jam the output side.
Finally, he got very mad at his non-radio neighbors because they didn’t like profanities that were coming over their televisions, computer speakers, hearing aids, and etc.
The neighbors found the FCC and ARRL quite useless, and asked help from the local police department. They did their best. They asked him to calm down.
He retaliated by cutting telephone lines and pulling out the electric meters out. Over and over again (And he shoved a gun in my face).
You just got to love the cheap cameras and VCR’s they have out now days. I don’t do a lot of fishing, but I do understand the phrase “hook line and sinker”.
Now for some ignorance on my behalf; as witnesses we were not allowed to observe the pre trial arguments, so we were sent out to a separate room. For long periods at a time. During that wait, I asked one of the other local hams that were present why they would say goodnight to Kevin before they would signoff. Simple answer, they knew he was listening. The policeman that was sitting next to me on the other side of the table broke down in mad hysterical laughter, and admitted THEY WERE DOING THE SAME THING on their police radios. “driving by now Kevin, come out and say hi?”
As a result of the trial, he was ordered to pay Verizon (our local phone company) $5000.00, Portland General Electric (power company) $5000 for repairs they made. In addition, $1000.00 for the spoiled food in the victims home and another $2500.00 in attorneys fees.

All this started over his CB radio!

P.S. Thank you Copper for letting me vent my feelings …. If you were a physiologist, it would cost more than a modified Lincoln.
