Unit199, go to the utilities section on the left, edit profile and scroll down to your preferences. The first box should be checked, "remember my username and password in a cookie". If not, check it and save your profile. If it still doesn't work you may need to check your browers setting to allow it to accept cookies. I'm sure Lon will correct me if I'm wrong, but mine used to be the same way till I checked that lil box in my profile, now I don't have to keep typing that info in everytime I make a post...

Harve,

Coyote is correct!

On the left of the Forum here you will see:

Utilities
Search
Contact
User List
Users Online
Edit Profile

Click on Edit Profile

Then Scroll down until you see:

Preferences

The following section allows you to specify your preferences for the operation of the board. The board needs to know who you are in order to use many of these settings. Consequently, for many of these features to work, you need to enable the cookie option.

Remember my username and password in a cookie

Check the Box in front of the line above.

Then scroll down to the Bottom of that area and click on: Save Profile Changes

The you should be all set.

Thaks Coyote & Lon,
Maybe one of these days I might be able to do something other than turning it on. They say that a computer is only as smart as the person operating it. Boy!!! Is my computer dumb. At 61 years old, just learning about computers is really taxing this old brain. Thanks again guys I appreciate the help.

Unit199, No problem and you are quite welcome. I'm happy to help whenever I can if I know the answer.
Feel free to ask any question you may have concerning your computer. I repair or answer questions nearly every day for someone, somewhere about their computer. And remember, your never to old to learn something new.
