In the product review section on May 30,2001 I asked for Cobra 29 LTD owners to tell us what they liked about their gear.As of yet ,no takers.

Looks like I may have to go buy a 29 LTD so I can get some bragging rights and post what I like about this radio.

well i have the 2970DX and its the mobile version of the 2990DX base unit and it kicks ass and takes names all i did was install the 11 meter mod and i didnt even touch the modulation or power because the way i figure is if this radio claimed to put out 150 watts from the factory then the few extra watts i could pull from it in my opinion would not be noticable so im not willing to push it to hard,,, the modulation i may change if i ever build the balls to finally go and buy a good meter LOL and as for the cobra 29 ltd they kick ass my local radio guy sold well over 100 of them last year to the local drivers around town and he did some stuff by putting diff finals in the 29 from the SSB units and turned up power and modulation and talkback but i dont know the technical stuff they ALL love them though and sound good ,, LOL i dont use the 29 myself LOL although i have an OLDDDDDD one its even a 23 channel im afraid to hook power to it,,,it was my dads radio in the 70,s LOL

HAVE FUN GUYS

well i have a saturn turbo same as a 2990.
and i love it.all mods on this radio have been done by myself. this radio has the most features
for the dollar than anyother radio plus the built in amplifier.mine has the power supply section
beefed up,freq mod,peaked&tuned, AF kit,
VR upgrade kit, changed color of the display to blue, echo max2000 mic w/up&down buttons for channels (modified myself). this radio does WELL over 200 watts peak.i seldom ever run it over 75 watts as it just isnt nesesery since im on a hill top
and have very large beams. my galaxy saturn does
the job so when i switch over to the turbo its
alot louder,lots of modulation!

Gee : You guys have first class gear ,but what I've been trying to get is some 29 LTD owners to brag on their radios.I bashed the new models so bad on product reviews they don't want to come out of the woodwork.
