Follow-up: 48-year-old William (****_ of Duncannon is being held in the Perry County prison under 15,000 dollars bail. Police now say (****)was "extremely and visibly" drunk when he tried to ram a police car in Marysville. He then allegedly led police on a high speed chase down 11/15 and Interstate 81. Police say (****)reached speeds of 110 miles per hour on the packed highway and tried to ram any car that got in his way. Police were only able to stop (****)when two truck drivers boxed him in. They heard about the chase on the C-B radio and saw the opportunity to help. Marysville police are glad they did..amazingly no one was hurt.

William (****)is charged with fleeing and eluding, assault on a police officer and DUI. He faced at least two other DUI charges in the late 1990's in Cumberland County and police say he was also driving without a license.

The red car got up to 110 miles per hours on I-81 in Cumberland County trying to get away from state police. It all started with that driver trying to elude police in Marysville.

Officer Carl (****)- Marysville Police officer:
"Guy swung around in reverse..attempted to hit a police car and we chased him south on 11-15 to 81."

The police finally got him about two miles north of the Newville exit on I-81, thanks to a couple of civic-minded, radio-listening truckers.

Chuck(****) - Trucker:
"I was coming down the road and heard a bunch of C.B. talk telling me there was a bunch of cops coming down the road, chasing a car."

James (****)/WACO, TX:
"I started to move out of the way and they said he's the one they need to stop." "We kind of squeezed him over here and stopped him dead in the highway right here....so he didn't hurt nobody."

It was not immediately clear why the driver took off, but there was a some alcohol in the back of his car.

Lehman:
"I know him from dealing with this individual in the past that he doesn't have a drivers license."

Thankfully, he doesn't have any blood on his hands from this stunt.

"He almost hit several cars...about ran several cars off the road...but thank god nobody was killed."

Also, thank James and Chuck, our spur of the moment 18-wheeled marshals. They haven't done this before but they seen it.

"I've seen it on Cops before..."

"We watch that show quite a bit down there at the house and you see a lot of it on there but I never see it in person.

Police say the driver of the car is William (****) of Duncannon. He is facing a slew of charges including aggravated assault against a police officer and driving under the influence.

I've heard about things like that happening before. When there's a police chase in the louisville area and it goes on to the freeway i put out a warning about it on channel 19 but i always tell them to leave the police work to the cops and not to interfear.
