I am a new member and just want to let anyone reading this know that it is well worth becoming a member. Reading through these posts is only a small portion of this wonderful community of radio enthusiasts.

I am on the lower end of the spectrum of knowing very little to nothing while others here have so much knowledge I imagine they have forgotten more than I will ever learn.

TRUE STORY - I was having more than my fair share of difficulties getting my system up and running and then operating properly. If you look through my posts you will see I was offered a ton of help and advice by so many members. Some of it was over my head and I did not understand. These folks here broke it down into terms I could understand and have already taught me an awful lot.
Now What You Didn’t See - Was the numerous e-mails and private messages I received offering help and advice from people I have never met.

Take It From Me You Will Be WELL SERVED JOINING Regardless if you are a 50 year veteran who knows it all or a newbie like me who never even owned a radio before
– THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE !!!!

I have looked at many sites but I only post here and there is good reason for it - INFORMED INFORMATION - Not speculation and not egos on whose radio can out do another’s.

Joining the CEF Radio Club – Why wouldn’t you? It’s FREE yes FREE and you will be talking to folks all over the U.S. and World if the conditions are right. Waiting for my first but have to get my antenna up and radio hooked up first but keep trying from the car.

Today’s the day – Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do RIGHT NOW TODAY!!!

See ya on the net and hear ya on the freq’s, waven four fingers and a thumb to ya – See Ya Soon….

you are 100% correct.

this is the best site on the internet to find help and answers for your questions.

and the moderators and members are great to jump in and help with any question a person might have on anything dealing with radios or antennas.

ee!

When I got in to radio, every one that talked on the "local channel" was all in their own clichés, which I was not! It was hard, if not impossible to find information and getting help from most people was like pulling teeth! Luckily there were a few people nice enough to put up with a punk 15 year old that thought he knew it all about every thing except radio, but was willing to learn that too! If it weren’t for those people I can definitely say that today, 10 years later I wouldn't still have my CB stuff, I wouldn't be a licensed ham operator, and I wouldn't spend countless hours of time on this site, enjoying my self! I would think that most the people here have experienced the same things and have made the same decision that I have, "To help those I can, because not many helped me". I try to help every time I can, and I give my opinion probably more than I should, but hey! Point is, this is one of the best web sites I have ever come across! The Copper Electronics' prices are great, the service is astounding, and the people are great, but most importantly (to me) THE FORUM RULES!!!

I also think the forum is great! The fellas here gave me lots of advice on which radio I should purchase, but when it came time to pay for that S9, they were gone. They left me on my own to figure out which grandchild I should sell in order to pay for the S9 which will be used most days listening to the locals cursing and cussing on ch.38 here in the Clearwater area, or I could drop down to 23 or 24 I don't remember which and listen to these guys. They are more cordial, but all they want to do is ask ya how's my radio sound, I just plugged it into a different wall socket. Blah Blah Blah. The forum is good. I learn alot from reading the threads.
Thanks,

I have gotten more GOOD advice here in the past few weeks than I have from CBers in the past 25+ years and its not just bull flying around its a good fourm plaform that seems to work very well without all the fighting, screeming or yelling.
thats what I think and thats that
So Thank You Copper
