My cats have fleas all 19 of them, was wondering if I took a mobile antenna and some sheet metal for a grond plane and put it in the living room if the rf from my boomer 400 could zap the fleas before it zapped me and the cats,or are they too tiny to resonate?Bigbob

Bigbob,

Geeeeeeeezzzzzzzz, the first question I read on a Monday Morning and you really have me stumped.

I am not sure what topic this question should be under in the Ask the Tech area.

Should it be under:

Antennas
Installations,
Amplifiers
or
General Technicial Questions?

Heyyyyyyyyyyy Karatebutcher you are the FURBALL EXPERT on the Forum so maybe you can help Bigbob with this question.

I doubt it would do much to the fleas, but it could cause some serious damage to you and your cats.

I have a friend who runs a cat rescue and presently has over 50 cats in her home. She's a big believer in flea dips and when necessary, repeated room by room flea bombs so the eggs that hatch are killed as soon as they hatch. Incomming cats are dipped immediately before being allowed to interact with the other cats. I've spent a lot of time there, and I've never seen a flea.

First and foremost, why 19 cats? I can't imagine how your house smells....

Seriously, the Front Line Plus treatment works wonders. I live in the boonies and we have 3 cats (they do not come inside) that keep the rodents away. In fact, not one mouse or rat in the house for over 2 years. We use F.L.P. and have not had a single flea or tick problem since. You only need to apply it once a month.

The dog used to have ticks all over him all the time, but F.L.P. took care of it for good. The regular Front Line (the non Plus) does not seem to work as good, so get the Plus.

There's no reason to have that many cats, dogs, or whatever. Can't imagine the uncleanliness either.

Bigbob reameber the shows early 60s or so????
They had a flea jump around 2 foot or so!

Also rf makes them hop up to around 4 foot or more and they bite big time!

Honest we have to tomcats thats keeps the mouse troubles down and there just barnyard toms that we like and they like us, Fleas and all!
Honest hedge balls will keep them away!!

When I first read this post I thought about how Clark Griswold's cat in "christmas Vacation" looked after biting the Christmas tree lights. Thaks for the chuckle Bigbob, I needed it.

Well the house don't stink,4 cats inside the rest outside inside and outside cats are spayed and neutered, the cat room has 6 cat boxes and an exhaust fan in the window the fan does more to keep the heat down than the odor because we have a pet door in the main door to it to keep the dog from eating tootsy rolls, nothing like trying to eat your supper while the dog is breathing turd breath on you, yech.Bigbob

My dog preferred dining on "kitty berries" in MY bed, until the Siamese whom was very particular about the "box" was in there when he went for a snack. I heard the dog yelp clear outside and never had the problem since!

But that dog ate some crazee stuff!

I used to own a pit bull who ate 2 dog houses! Only had two pits and they were friendly, no fights. Nothing stopped them. They ate table legs, couch cushions, door frames, shoes. Tried red hot tobasco but that just added flavor.

I do not understand where this forum is going, fleas, kitty berries, you mean good old time cat poop?, and anyway whats so bad about fleas, as I type there are three of them flying across my screen, I know what they are up to.
Our 15 cats use to sleep in our bed not any more, they won"t come near it the fleas jump all night from our pillow to our sheets, in the morning they are all gone ???

Kitty berries? No no no no - if they have been in the litterbox, they most closely resemble Snowcaps :-)

That stuff Tech 833 spoke about in his post,

Never tried to zap fleas with RF...LOL
