Any of you operators ever run the old Astro Beam antennas and can you still find any of them these days. I ran one for years and for a three element beam, it did a great job.

I loved the old ASTRO BEAM. It really did a good job for a three element. Mine died in a storm several years ago, but I sure would like to find another. They had excellent front-to-back and good forward gain that rivaled many larger beams. The only weakness I ever saw in them was the plastic element hubs that tended to dry-rot with age. They can be replaced with PVC pipe and will continue to work well for many years unless a tornado comes too close......
