Hello everyone,

I'm on my way home now, but stuck in Spain with a broken airplane. Spent the night before last in Italy, and we are talking of limping my airplane to Sicily to fix it. Man that's the wrong direction, we should be headed west! Oh well, the hotel rooms here are sweet and I could get used to this European lifestyle. Sure beats the desert for sure.

Here is a photo of me taken last week. Sorry for the reduced quality but I had to scale it back to fit here.

I left much of my equipment inline and my antenna up so I should be back on the air shortly after my return home. I hope there is some DX running back in the States. Looking forward to shouting out for y'all on Sundays, and anytime the skip plays well.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all.

Thanks Folks! I appreciate the kind words.

I was able to make it home for Christmas finally. The wife was estatic and we had a wonderful Christmas together. I am still busy playing with toys (new microphones, antenna analyzers, etc.) and working the kinks out of those I'm less experienced with.

A message to some people:

Airplane1, yes that is a British Tornado behind me. We and the Brits shared a Hardened Aircraft Shelter (not pictured) in the desert. In that picture is the standard tent that kept the aircraft hidden from satellites somewhat, but mainly shade. The small yellow sign in the background states that the aircraft is armed.

Lon, Tech 808. Sorry I missed your phone call. That boy of mine did not tell me about it, I just happen to find the message. I will call you back within a few days. Yes I received your package and appreciate it emmensly! Thank you very Much!

My equipment is back up and running both mobile and base once again, and the DX is rolling. Hope to talk to some of you soon.

I stand in awe of your sacrifice to all of us. 'Thank you' does not begin to cover it. If you ever find yourself around my QTH, my doors and radio equipment are open to you anytime.
