Just as a source of information for my personal files I would like to know only from what state the dealer is that ripped you off or gave you the worst service.I don't want to know the name of the dealer or the initials of his business, just the state that he is located.I'll start off by saying the worst dealer I have ever done business with in over 27 years of radio dealings is located in Texas. He burnt me twice in one year.

These lying, hypocritical SOB'S deserve it. Yes, Copper, I understand if you don't post this. I just could'nt take the ripoffs and lies and screwing people (like me) that actually trusted other people.

iceman i dont know where you live but if you have a recept and some way to prove that and im going by the consumer laws here in my county if you are sold something that is NEW in your county there should be a consumer branch of your county goverment by all means file a complant. You would be doing others a favor also find the BBB where they have there home office and send them a copy of your letter. I did just that on something involving another hobbie and found if they have any brains at all they dont like that kinda feed back. all it will cost you is a e-mail or stamp but no one should have to put up with this behavor on the part of any dealer.

Doug: I think you posted in the wrong place. This is not the best dealer, this is the worst dealer. You are assuming that you know which dealer or dealers in Texas these guys are talking about.

Maybe he was being sarcastic.. Hmm? Well i might as well add my .002 cents here. I have dealt with "that place in Texas" too and i never will deal with them again. Bought a TX star 667 off of them once and it arrived dented and non working. I returned it and they claimed i opened it up! Then they DId fix it but i was still mad that they would say that to me. I then bought a 2990 off of them(not the one i have now) and it was turbo tuned to hell and back and later when i had to sell it to have extra cash the guy i sold it to had it self destruct on him one night due to the Turbo tune. I then tried to email and call them to get the radio fixed for the guy but all they did was jack me around! The guy that has the 2990 now ended up having a local tech work on it and ended up spending 125.00..

No Doug : I'm not God or pretending to be.Just seemed like you were trying to protect some dealer who hasn't even been named.I posted the original post and I asked that only the state be listed to protect the rights of (if they deserve any) the worst dealer anyone has done business with.

, I want to join my two cents woth here, I have done business the first of aug and they haven't stopped screwing and lying to me yet, I have turned them in the b b b . fact i got a letter today from b b b wondering if i heard from them.
anted me to return it to them and they would take care of it for, isent it to them, 10.00 cost, they held it 8 days and sent it back to me unopened, funny for big business.huh? If you read what the b b b has on them isn't very good report.
This purchase was a connex 4800dxl- was not changed over and i paid them 30.00 to turbo tune it. got it factory sealed, I need help of getting the lower channels. Dean-

Someone told me that Ranger isn't going to warranty any radios that have been turbo tuned. It seems the turbo tune is Rangers number one return problem. Any insiders know anymore?
